EA assures us via Twitter that, after a rocky launch period, the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 online servers have now been stabilized. Pretty much every iteration of Bad Company 2 has seen issues arise when connecting to EA’s servers for online multiplayer, with Xbox 360 kicking some users all the way out to the Dashboard and PC users experiencing authentication issues with PunkBuster. The developer now says that those issues have been addressed, due in no small part to new servers being added over the weekend.

The US Defense Threat Reduction Agency wants a robot capable of navigating underground—drilling through soil and rock—to deliver an explosive load. A “one-time use, air-delivered, highly mobile vehicle having certain characteristics similar to an unmanned ground vehicle”.

New research has shown that nearly a quarter of Xbox 360 owners earn less than 10 per cent of a game’s Achievements, and that only four per cent seek out every reward. EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich, speaking at GDC (reported by GamesIndustry.biz), said 27 per cent of people earn half of a game’s Achievements, but less than 10 per cent of people attain 80 per cent of the Achievements or more.

What many feared (or briefly thought about without much emotion either way) has turned out to be true: Microsoft PR has confirmed that Windows Marketplace for Mobile will be the only source for Windows Phone 7 apps, meaning that you can’t sideload apps, and that Microsoft will be the sole gatekeeper for all apps on the platform.
