Filed under: iPad I was surfing on Amazon over the weekend and decided to see what would come up when I searched for “iPad”. One of the first results was: TrendyDigital WaterGuard Waterproof Case/Cover for Apple iPad, Blue Border and what caught my attention was that it only had one star. That seemed pretty severe, given that the iPad was only available for pre-order on Friday.

Filed under: iPhone You may remember that Verizon started running ads a while ago showing AT&T’s anemic 3G coverage map . AT&T responded by saying “Our coverage includes 97% of the country!” In the small print on Verizon’s ads they make it clear that AT&T does have coverage outside of 3G

Gmail may only be the 3rd most popular email service on the planet (behind Yahoo! and Hotmail) but it ranks first in the hearts of geeks everywhere and can be used in a variety of ways on the iPhone: IMAP (or POP if you’re really old school) right from the iPhone Mail app.

What many feared (or briefly thought about without much emotion either way) has turned out to be true: Microsoft PR has confirmed that Windows Marketplace for Mobile will be the only source for Windows Phone 7 apps, meaning that you can’t sideload apps, and that Microsoft will be the sole gatekeeper for all apps on the platform.

This is an unexpected treat: Windows Phone 7 ’s SDK came out today , and apparently it includes DivX support up through DivX6. That means no DivX7, but it’s still a lot more than you can find on the iPhone. More

A real classic is coming to Wii in a few hours. The original version of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood will be available as a Virtual Console download today. And by “original” we mean “original Japanese version.” This 900 Wii Point ($9) download is an unaltered Virtual Console import.

Parrot pulled out the AR targets for us, and while the games they had running were very rudimentary, we did get a good feel for the action
