So, I’m not the biggest fan of netbooks, but I do see their place among PC’s. I actually tried to pull my brother away from purchasing a netbook because I thought he would want something with a bit more functionality. I was wrong. He seldom ever uses his netbook for anything other than sitting on the couch and monitoring his fantasy basketball and football accounts. He also uses it to VPN into his work PC for work-at-home type stuff.
He is very happy with his netbook, even though it houses an 11 inch screen, an Intel Atom processor and low performance parts, he is perfectly happy with what it does do well. This goes to show me (and Steve Jobs) that it doesn’t matter what’s inside as long as it does what you intend your machine to do.

Like many computer users I’m always interested in trying something new. This means I’m often looking for new applications and registry hacks on the web to improve my computer operation. Sometimes these exploits end up in disaster.
