The Xbox Canada site lists the price drop for both Futureshop and Best Buy, though we also found it over at Amazon Canada and GameStop Canada. Get ‘em while you can! That’s according to a new report from market research firm Forecasting and Analysing Digital Entertainment (FADE), which claims that Arcade sales were up 34 per cent year-on-year to $103.4 million.
According to FADE, Battlefield 1943 was the most successful Arcade release, achieving 800,000 sales and generating $12.5 million in revenue.
The average price of XBLA games “increased rapidly” during the 2009 claims the report, from an average of $8.33 in 2008 to $9.12.
2009’s estimated top titles by revenue are (Average Price):
Battlefield 1943 (EA Dice) – $12.5 million ($15.00)
Castle Crashers (The Behemoth) – $7.3 million ($15.00)
