Did you know that your run of the mill keyboard is basically a gigantic apartment complex for bacteria? Gross, no? Thankfully there’s Cleankeys, a keyboard that bulldozes that shit and replaces it with a sleek, sterile touch-sensitive slab.
Wiping a standard keyboard with a disinfecting cloth kills about 5% of bacteria. Cleankeys claims the same test kills 99% of bacteria on their keyboard, simply because they have nowhere to hide.

Black Hawk Safety Net, an online hacker training resource with 12,000 paying members and another 170,000 free members, was brought down recently by Chinese authorities.
Only three operators of the site were arrested, while the official site itself, 3800hk.com, was put out of commission when the company’s 9 servers were seized. The site provided resources on hacking techniques and trojan software.

Microsoft and E*Sponder, a software development company that focuses on emergency management response, are working together to provide police agencies crowd and safety control. The E*Sponder Software, called Mapping, works with Windows7 to leverage multi-touch capabilities to manipulate graphical maps and displays using hand gestures.
Last year at Superbowl XLIII, Tampa police worked with E*Sponder to manage the various agencies that were responsible for coordinating safety for the thousands of spectators. With Sharepoint, the Microsoft application for collaborative computing, E*Sponder was able to create a visual system that allowed 25 public agencies to be managed at one location.
